Admissions Eligibility & Procedure(2024-25)

For B. Tech. (4 Years) Program:

Candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination and has obtained 45% (General Category) and 40% (Reserved Category) in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics).

Every year Govt of Jharkhand conducts common entrance examination for admission in various engineering colleges located in Jharkhand. Students who have qualified and secured good rank in the exam can opt for C. I. T. during the counselling process.For more information visit jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in

JEE (Main) is conducted by CBSE at national level and a student who has appeared in the exam and has secured positive marks can apply. A merit list will be published after the JCECE counselling. For more information visit https://jeemain.nic.in.

The remaining seats after taking admission through JCECEB & JEE (Main) will be filled up with such students on the basis of marks obtained at 10+2/Intermediate. Such students may fill up application form directly in the institute & their selection will be made on merit.

For B. Tech. Lateral Entry (3 Years) Program:

1 Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution, with at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) in appropriate branch of Engineering/Technology.
2 Passed B.Sc. Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
3 Provided that in case of students belonging to B.Sc. stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second year subjects.
4 Provided further that, the students belonging to B.Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the supernumerary seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.

Note : - The candidates shall, however, be required to qualify at the Entrance Test conducted by the Competent Authority.

1 Scheme shall be applicable to all approved Technical Institutions offering Bachelor Programmes, Diploma and Post Diploma Programmes and lateral entry provisions of these Programmes.
2 Seats up to a maximum 5% of “Approved Intake” per Course shall be available for these admissions. These seats shall be supernumerary in nature and shall be available to such Courses in an Institution where a minimum of 30% of “Approved Intake” in the respective Courses are filled up.
3 The Competent Authority for admission shall be the same as for regular admission.
4 The scheme shall be mandatory for all Institutions approved by the Council.
1 Sons and daughters of parents whose annual income is less than `6.00 Lakh from all sources shall only be eligible for seats under this scheme.
2 The Waiver is limited to the tuition fee as approved by the State Level Fee Committee for self-financing Institutions and by the Government for the Government and Government Aided Institutions. All other fee except tuition fee shall have to be paid by the beneficiary..

2 The Competent Authority to effect these admissions is the State Government or its designated authority.
3 In the event of non-availability of students in this category the same shall not be given to any other category of applicants.
4 State Admission authority shall invite applications under this category, make a separate merit list for this category and effect admission on the basis of the merit list so generated.
5 Competent Authority for admission shall submit a separate list of the students admitted under this category to the Institution to which they are admitted for compliance.
6 A letter in this respect shall be issued by the Competent Authority for admission to each beneficiary student admitted under this scheme and he/ she shall not be allowed to change Institution/ Course under any circumstances.

For M. Tech (2 Years) Program:

1 Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in the relevant field.
2 Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.

For MBA (2 Years) Program:

1 Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years duration. Obtained at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.
Note:- Candidates shall be required to qualify the Entrance Test conducted by the Competent Authority. For admission to MBA and similar Courses, candidates shall be required to qualify in CMAT conducted by AICTE or other recognized tests.

Admission Cell:

The cell looks after the admission and make sure that all the admission is made on the basis of merit and a student is well counselled before enrolment in any of the course offered by the institute. The admission cell consists of following members:
