About Research & Development

The Research and Development Cell of Cambridge Institute of Technology [CIT (R)] is established with a view to initiate and nurture productive and interactive engagement with sponsoring agencies. The various programs are nurtured through academic research and sponsored research funded by National organizations and industry. The activities of R&D Cell include- Development of Ph. D. Research Centers, Faculty & Students Training and Support Programs, Recognition of Research Production, Encouragement of Faculty Collaboration, Balanced Teaching & Research Responsibilities, etc. CIT ( R) is committed to basic long-term research in frontier areas.

Vision

To promote research activities among faculty and students by providing seed funds and a platform for sharing and implementing innovative and creative ideas to facilitate exchange of information and interaction among the various research institutes and industries to develop skilled manpower in various engineering fields.

Mission

  1. To promote faculty and students to undertake Research and Development activities as a means of nourishing innovative thought.
  2. Promotion of R&D activities in science and technology with special emphasis on emerging domain.
  3. Motivate faculty and students to participate in Seminar/Conference/Workshop and further share his knowledge, experience with faculty and students and submission of write up to R&D cell.
  4. To encourage faculty and students to present/publish Research paper in reputed national & international journals and submit a copy to R& D Cell in the institute.
  5. To encourage interdisciplinary R & D projects leading to solutions to real world problems. 
  6. Motivate the faculty, Ph. D. scholars and students to apply for funding under various Government, Professional Chapter or Private Sector schemes.
  7. Promotion of three way interaction between the Institute, R & D Cell and Industry.
  8. To register under Intellectual Property Rights like Patents & copyright the outcome of R & D work carried out by the faculty and students of the Institution.
  9. To facilitate signing of MOU with industries and R & D Organizations for research and product development.
