The private unaided engineering colleges interested in participating in TEQIP-II project, initially, submitted Institutional Eligibility Proposals (IEP). 263 private unaided institutions submitted IEP proposals to NPIU. Out of 263, 199 private unaided were invited to submit Institutional Development Proposals (IDP) for further evaluation. Finally, only 123 private unaided institutions were found eligible for IDP evaluation. Purely on merit basis, first 20 private unaided institutions and five more supernumerary vacancies for left out participating and eligible states were selected for Implementation of TEQIP-II project in their respective Institutions.
Cambridge Institute of Technology is one among the 29 institutions selected for TEQIP phase II grant in India and is the only private unaided institute in State of Jharkhand.
